Several trustees said they toured the campus and that photos did not fully capture the condition.
Trustees discussed whether to delay action until the district's facilities assessment was reviewed; some members said they were reluctant to approve single-campus work without seeing the districtwide assessment. Others said equity and the need to set new principals up for success justified the targeted repairs. Secretary Guadion moved approval and Trustee Cisneros seconded; the motion passed 4-2.
