Copperton schedules working session with Bingham Cemetery board to review ordinances and terms

Copperton council member Tessa Spitzer told the council on June 18 that the item to update the town's Bingham Cemetery ordinance and board terms will be discussed in a working session before the next regular meeting.
Spitzer said Pam Roberts and other cemetery board members had planned to present but that some materials had been removed from the agenda and that the council needs more time to review ordinance language and board term limits. "If we wanna table it again for next month, I promise I'll get with my other cemetery board members, and we can sit down and take a good look at it and bring you better information next time," Spitzer said.
Council members agreed to hold a working session at 6:30 p.m. on July 16, prior to the regular meeting, and asked staff to post a Zoom link. The work session will be an opportunity for the cemetery board and council to discuss questions about supplies, equipment and board membership; any formal action, if needed, will be taken in the regular session.
Spitzer said she will coordinate attendance with the cemetery board and asked staff to put the working session on the July agenda.
