Las Vegas RDA approves three facade grants for downtown properties

The grants are intended as reimbursements for eligible exterior work and signage within the RDA's CVIP program and are meant to support ongoing downtown revitalization efforts. Each applicant presented renderings and described planned exterior work; the agency approved each request and staff said work will begin once grant paperwork and reimbursements are in order.
The three projects approved were:
Pachi Pachi (legal entities on the record: Good Hope Good Who Hood LLC and Get in the Hole LLC doing business as Pachi Pachi), 211 South Las Vegas Boulevard, Suite 120. Applicant Mark Evansvold, identified as the owner of Pachi Pachi, told the agency the project will create a Tokyo-style street-food restaurant with craft cocktails and an exterior that “reflects the energy and adds something special to the area.” According to staff, the applicant is investing $54,000 in the project, making it eligible for the $25,000 RDA reimbursement. The agency approved the CVIP grant.
401 South Sixth Street (FBGM Investments LLC). Applicant Jordan Dennison described exterior repairs, parking-lot repaving and a grease trap to support a forthcoming restaurant tenant. Staff said the applicant has invested more than $250,000, making the project eligible for the $25,000 CVIP reimbursement. The agency approved the CVIP grant.
1212 South Casino Center Boulevard (1212 South Casino Center LLC). Connie Yeh, part of the building ownership team, described exterior upgrades that include new paint, windows, enhanced signage, landscaping and a mural planned for the Arts District. Staff reported an applicant investment of $64,000, which makes the project eligible for the $25,000 reimbursement. The agency approved the CVIP grant.
Councilwoman Diaz moved the motions to approve the three CVIP grants. Each motion carried; the meeting record states "motion carries" after each item but does not include a roll-call vote tally in the transcript. Staff noted the grants are reimbursements paid from the RDA special revenue fund and that construction will commence after the grants are approved and necessary documentation is completed.
