The clerk, Miss Reichert, said staff would publish the announcement in newspapers, issue a press release and share it via social media. Committee members declined a special election, citing the additional cost because there are no other scheduled elections before April of the following year.
Mister Stewart asked whether the committee intended to set a submission deadline so interviews could be completed before the July 9 meeting; the committee agreed by consensus to do so. The committee recorded the approach as a consensus direction; no formal roll-call vote was taken.
