Washington County Salary Commission finalizes report text; recommends 2% base increase for commissioners, 10% chair differential

The Washington County Salary Commission reviewed and edited the final draft of its report at its June 17 meeting, agreed on a recommendation of a 2% base increase for county commissioners and a 10% compensation differential for the board chair, and set a schedule to publish the document Friday afternoon and present it to the Board at its June 24 meeting.

The commission’s chair, Faisal al Z., opened the meeting by saying, “We have 1 primary topic today. I see good progress made on the report.” Commissioners and staff then worked through formatting, organization and appendix placement, and confirmed the substantive recommendations the commission will present to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC).
