The council approved Angela Kavanaugh as a regular voting member, Reyna (Reina) Rubin as a regular voting member, Jose E. Perez as a regular voting member, and Tom Kleber (appointed as an associate member). Mayor Aaron V. Joyce introduced the slate and invited each candidate to speak to the council before votes were taken.
The appointments were the product of extended committee review. Councilor Bridal, chair of the Committee on Ways and Means, said the committee met over two evenings and forwarded unanimous favorable recommendations for each candidate. "The committee is sending this to the full council with a unanimous favorable recommendation," Bridal said during the meeting.
