The Midvale City Council took the following formal actions at its June 17 meeting. All recorded votes were unanimous unless otherwise noted.
- Consent agenda: Approved minutes of June 3, 2025 (consent). Outcome: Approved (unanimous).
- Resolution 2025-R-36: Designated Midvale as a Bolder Way Forward city (supports statewide initiative for women and girls). Outcome: Approved (unanimous).
- Resolution 2025-R-37: Authorized mayor to sign the second amended and restated Transjordan interlocal agreement allowing Herriman City to join Transjordan Cities. Outcome: Approved (unanimous).
- Ordinance 2025-011: Zoning code text amendment (amend sections 17-7-710.12.01 and 17-7-710.12.5) and associated development agreement approvals for the Erinby development. Outcome: Ordinance approved (unanimous).
- Resolution 2025-R-38: Approved first amendment to the Erinby development agreement (recording format and plat adjustments). Outcome: Approved (unanimous).
- Resolution 2025-R-39: Adopted FY2026 municipal fee schedule and utility rates (including an ~8% adjustment to water and sewer as part of previously adopted multi-year increases; garbage/recycling up ~2%). Outcome: Approved (unanimous).
- Resolution 2025-R-40: Adopted FY2025 General Fund budget amendments (adjustments for IT, elections, Harvest Days and other items). Outcome: Approved (unanimous).
- Resolution 2025-R-41: Adopted the certified property tax rate for calendar year 2025 (required procedural step). Outcome: Approved (unanimous).
- Ordinance 2025-012: Proposed and adopted to enter the truth-in-taxation process for a Midvale public safety property tax for calendar year 2025 (creates a special revenue fund for public safety). Outcome: Approved to proceed to truth-in-taxation (unanimous). Public hearing scheduled Aug. 19.
Procedural notes: The council also voted to consider suspending rules to expedite the Transjordan interlocal agreement (motion passed) and directed staff to cancel the July 1, 2025 meeting in favor of the July 15 meeting. A public hearing was held (no public comment) on a proposed up-to-$55,000,000 sales and franchise tax revenue bond issuance for park and infrastructure projects; that hearing was informational only and no bond action was taken that night.
