Baltimore County ACC coordinator to depart; deputy will serve temporarily

The Baltimore County Administrative Charging Committee on June 6 learned that its longtime coordinator, Henry Callegary, is leaving county service and that Lauren Phillips, assistant deputy administrative officer for public safety, will handle his duties on an interim basis.
Committee Chair Joan Harris announced the departure, saying the committee "will be losing our current, coordinator, Henry Callegary" and that "we wish you well in your new endeavor. We're sad to see you go." Callegary confirmed, "I will miss working with you guys. It's been a great group."
Lauren Phillips introduced herself to the committee and identified her title: "assistant deputy administrative officer for public safety. I'm, Rebecca Young's deputy. So, I will be handling, Henry's responsibilities until we fill his position." Phillips said the county anticipates hiring a permanent replacement; in the meantime she will serve as the point of contact for ACC matters.
The committee did not take a formal personnel vote at the meeting. Members discussed scheduling and case workload in the context of the transition but did not establish a firm hiring timeline. The committee also noted it expects to continue monthly meetings and to rely on staff support while the recruitment for a full-time coordinator proceeds.
The announcement came during the meeting's new-business reports before the committee recessed into a closed session to review investigatory files.
