Program description: Deputy Fire Chief Brian Coe described the program as voluntary and intended to be used by wildland fire specialists and firefighting crews — career and volunteer — to provide on‑site and street‑level inspections. Inspectors will record observations, provide consistent home‑hardening education, and offer guidance to improve response and landscaping for wildfire resilience. The program links to the county’s Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP), Coe said.
Board action: The board approved the agreement for the period June 17, 2025 through June 17, 2028. The vote was unanimous.
