The City of Cody opened a public hearing on renewals for local liquor licenses for the period of Aug. 1, 2025, through July 31, 2026, and received no public opposition during the hearing.
Cindy (staff member) told the council that all applicants completed their renewal applications and the city submitted them to the state liquor division. Cindy said the state has not returned notices for corrections and that staff will not issue local licenses until the state confirms there are no corrections. She said there were no public comments received in writing or in person on the renewals.
Following the public hearing, with no members of the public asking to speak, the council moved to approve the renewals; approval was recorded as contingent on any state-required corrections being completed before issuance. The council did not record a roll-call vote in the transcript for this item; its action moved the item from public hearing to conduct-of-business approval.
Ending: The council approved the renewals with the condition that staff will hold issuance if the state returns corrections.
