The council approved a construction services agreement for the Bransford Road shared-use path, a Montclair Drive sidewalk contract, renewal of the city’s medical and dental plans with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, and the purchase of a 2026 International truck with an attenuator for public-works beautification crews. Council also passed resolutions supporting two Texas Department of Transportation Transportation Alternatives (TA) grant applications for the Heritage Avenue and Cheeksbarger shared-use path projects. All motions passed unanimously, 7-0.
The Bransford Road project will construct a shared-use path (about 18,000 square feet total) and associated drainage work from Shelton Drive to City Park. The council authorized a construction services agreement with BCR2 LLC not to exceed $846,897.45, plus a contingency not to exceed $85,000 and materials testing not to exceed $59,325.
