Sheriff authorized to apply for JAG and VAWA grants; Treasurer selects PNC for lockbox services

Staff also presented a request to apply for a 2025 Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) grant of $60,000 with a local funds match of $20,000.
The county treasurer asked the board to award a contract with PNC Bank for payment‑processing lockbox services for deposit of water and sanitary sewer customer paper‑based payments, not to exceed $86,348.16 per year for three years from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028. Staff said there are two one‑year renewal options available should the commissioners wish to extend the contract.
