Audit of curriculum management finds strong planning but calls for clearer policy, org charts and differentiated guidance

Arlington ISD staff told the Board of Trustees on June 17 that the first phase of a districtwide curriculum management audit found strengths in strategic planning and elementary curriculum documents, but identified several areas for improvement including a recommended board curriculum policy, clearer organizational charts and job descriptions, and a formalized curriculum management plan.

Doctor Jared Wirtz, who led the presentation, said the audit’s purpose is to evaluate whether the district has a coordinated curriculum system and whether policies, structures and data use support consistent instructional delivery.
