HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. — The Board of Mayor and Aldermen recorded these outcomes during its July 2025 meeting:
- Ordinance 02/2010 (Piedmont Natural Gas franchise): Approved on second reading, fee set at 2%; vote 9–4. Board added language allowing the city to change the fee by ordinance subject to Tennessee Utilities Commission approval no more than once per year.
- Ordinance 2025-09 (FY2026 budget and tax rate): Adopted on second reading with amendments including a $75,000 SAFER grant contingency, adoption of pay scenario 2A for staff raises, and a $60,000 appropriation from the TreeBank for tree replacements. Vote recorded as unanimous after amendments were included.
