Aguirre said the irrigation controller/clock had been ripped from a wall — an unusual incident — and that police are coordinating with park staff. He said similar vandalism has occurred elsewhere but that theft of backflows or other copper-related thefts were less frequent in recent years.
No formal policy or budget action was taken; staff will repair facilities and continue coordination with police.
