Votes at a glance: Shawnee commission approves grants, contracts and budgets; several items deferred

At its meeting the City of Shawnee commission approved a slate of contracts, grants and budgets and deferred several agenda items for follow-up. Most votes were unanimous; where noted below, the commission recorded roll-call outcomes.

Key outcomes - Survey contract for Shawnee Twin Lakes No. 1: The commission approved an agreement with Elevation Land Surveying (contract value cited in the staff report as about $189,000) to complete final replats and establish lots, blocks, rights-of-way and utility easements. Other actions - The commission rescheduled the July meeting to July 14 at 6:00 p.m. (motion carried 6-0). - The commission directed staff to negotiate a limited-access agreement with Pottawatomie County Historical Society (PCHS) for limited access to the Santa Fe Depot following executive session; motion carried 6-0.
