The Berrien County Board of Commissioners approved the minutes from its May 8 meeting and passed the consent calendar, which included a fuel contract for the road department.
Commissioner Chokwe Pitchford moved to approve the minutes; the motion was supported by Commissioner Acht and approved after a voice vote. Later in the meeting, Pitchford moved to approve the consent calendar and Commissioner Bell provided support. The consent calendar included the requisition list and an added resolution authorizing the fuel contract for the road department.
A roll-call vote was taken on the consent calendar. Commissioners answering yes during the roll call were: Lauren, Greeley, Harrison, Hinkleman, Ott, Pitcher, Tyler, Bulrath, Warfo, Galbrough and Steph; the items were approved.
The requisition review presented an estimated amount for the average thousands of gallons of fuel purchased annually by the road department; that fuel line item was added to the requisition list and appears on the consent agenda resolution for the fuel contract.
No members of the public spoke on items in the consent calendar during the public-comment period. With the adoption of the consent calendar, the listed resolutions and requisitions will proceed as scheduled.
