Greenville Farms hearing continued to June 26 after town peer review materials arrived

At its May 15 meeting the Smithfield Planning Board continued the public hearing for the Residence at Greenville Farms (ID 2008) to June 26 at the applicant's request and tolled the statutory decision deadline until that date.
John Mancini, the applicant's attorney, told the board the applicant had received two town-related reviews shortly before the hearing: a stormwater peer review from GZA and an environmental comment from Lakeshore Environmental (Dave Haysbrook). Mancini said the applicant needs additional time to review the documents, conduct field work prompted by recent rainfall, and prepare written responses coordinated among the projects consultants, including Sage Engineering.
Mancini identified a specific concern in the GZA comments (referred to in the meeting as comment number 7) that the applicant plans to address with additional field data. The board agreed that it was fair to allow the applicant time to review and respond to the newly submitted materials so all members would have the reports before further questions or testimony.
The board voted on a motion to continue the hearing and extend the decision clock; the motion passed on a voice vote. The applicant said it will submit written responses and intends to call Dave Haysbrook and representatives from GZA and Sage Engineering to testify at the continued hearing.
