Council adopts city privacy policy statement, to post on website

Moroni City staff proposed and the council approved a city privacy policy statement (Resolution 2025-5-13) at the May 15 meeting.
Staff said the policy formalizes existing practices for protecting personal information gathered from utility customers and applicants for planning and zoning, and that additional related policies will follow. Councilmember Wolfenstein moved to accept the proposed resolution and Councilmember Sherry Green seconded the motion. The council adopted the resolution by roll-call vote with unanimous support.
Action taken: council adopted Resolution 2025-5-13 (Moroni City privacy policy statement); staff will post the policy on the city website and develop related policies as needed.
