The Moroni City Council voted on May 15 to name the local archery facility the Rulich Christensen Archery Range in recognition of Rulich Christensen's role in creating and operating the site.
Mayor Paul Bailey and Councilmember Fred Atkinson described Christensen's long involvement with the archery range and his waning health as the impetus for the naming. Atkinson moved to name the range; Wolfenstein seconded the motion. The council recorded no opposition during the voice vote. A plaque was prepared with wording thanking Rulich Christensen for his service and noting the date May 15, 2025; staff said the plaque would be presented to Christensen's family.
Action taken: motion passed to name the range the Rulich Christensen Archery Range; plaque to be delivered to family.
Next steps: city staff to deliver plaque to family and arrange signage at the archery range.
