SAN BENITO, Texas — The San Benito Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees on Wednesday voted to approve a bundle of routine business items, accept highest bids in a tax-resale of three county properties, authorize the administration to begin financing discussions with an interlocal cooperative, and to act on multiple personnel contract items discussed in closed session.
The trustees voted unanimously to adopt the consent agenda that included agreements and memoranda of understanding for instructional and early-childhood partnerships, approval of budget and tax reports for April 2025, purchases over $50,000, workers' compensation insurance extension with TASB Risk Management, and revisions to the 2024–25 compensation plan and a local board policy. The motion to approve the consent agenda was offered by trustee mister Gomez and seconded by mister Villareal; the board voiced unanimous approval without individual roll-call tallies being read aloud.
