Board approves 2024–26 contract for Forest Lake Association of Professional Office Personnel

The Forest Lake Board of Education voted unanimously to approve a ratified contract between the district and the Forest Lake Association of Professional Office Personnel covering 2024–2026.
Superintendent Doctor Massey presented the agreement and highlighted the major terms, including a $0.25 per hour additional pay for staff with an associate degree, bachelor’s degree or business certification; a $100 increase in the district contribution to the family medical premium; conversion of Good Friday from a specifically identified holiday to a floating holiday; and a schedule of wage increases within board-set parameters.
Doctor Massey described the wage schedule as follows: a 2.5% increase in the first year, a 2.5% increase later in the agreement, a 1.5% increase in the third step, two 4% step increases (fourth and fifth steps), followed by a 3% across-the-board increase in the second year of the agreement. Administration recommended approval.
A motion to approve was made, seconded and the board took a roll-call vote. Member Corcoran, Member Haglund, Member Tyson, Member Revaline, Member Anne Thompson, Member Christensen and Member Castle each voted “aye.” The motion carried unanimously.
Doctor Massey said additional classified contracts (paras, nutrition services and others) would come to the board in the following weeks.
No fiscal contingency, amendment or dissenting votes were recorded on the motion.
