The Regional Growth Committee on May 15 approved Amendment 3 to the adopted 2023–2050 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), advancing five board-level roadway projects into the first fiscal phase and accepting six staff-level modifications, officials said.
Julie Bjornstead, senior transportation planner with WFRC, described the amendment process and the 11 project requests included in Amendment 3: "We have 11 total projects, 6 are level 1 staff modifications, and 5 are level 2," she said. Level 1 projects — which did not require a public comment period — include the 2025 Wasatch Choice land-use layer and active-transportation and mobility-hub requests from local communities.
