Board previews May 20 meeting: liquor license, Cactus State Utility franchise hearing and district budget reviews

Staff asked the county attorney to format changes to the franchise agreement ahead of the hearing.
Separately, staff said they have scheduled budget review meetings for the flood control district and the jail district; those sessions are intended to follow up on questions raised during an earlier budget work session. Staff described the district meetings as regular sessions to approve minutes and demands and said no substantive action items were expected for the library, flood control and jail districts this week.
At the May 15 work session staff did not take public comment and no formal votes occurred; items are set for action, public hearings or additional review at the regular May 20 meeting.
