Staff told the Board of Supervisors that Supervisor Gomez requested to use Community Enhancement Fund dollars to sponsor six television episodes promoting Tombstone and Cochise County tourism on the Cowboy Channel.
Miss Gilman said Gomez met with production individuals and believes the program will serve as tourism outreach. Gilman described the proposal as a promotional effort and said the sponsorship request will be placed on the board’s action agenda for consideration.
At the May 15 work session the briefing was informational; no board vote or approval occurred. Staff asked the board to review the item at the upcoming regular meeting so members can decide whether to approve the proposed Community Enhancement Fund expenditures.
