Frontier Medical Group reports 135 visits and payroll costs; contract extension to be discussed May 30

Dr. Coker of Frontier Medical Group told the Northern Nye County Hospital District on May 15 that the clinic recorded 135 patient visits during the reporting period and that total collections were $7,520.80.

Dr. Coker said those visits were a mix of telemedicine and in‑person encounters delivered over four clinic days per week in the reporting period. He reported total payroll expenses of $39,049.40, including $29,425 for provider payroll (doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and the medical directorship) and $9,624.40 for non‑provider employees. He also said provider payments for telemedicine visits totaled $4,425 (at $75 per telemedicine visit).

District staff told the board a signed interim agreement from Frontier Medical Group had been received and that payments for April had not been submitted while the contract was unsigned; Andrea said she would submit the April payment “today or tomorrow” now that the contract is signed. The board set a special budget meeting for May 30 at 10 a.m. in the courthouse chambers and said the district would add discussion of a possible extension of Frontier Medical Group’s interim agreement to that meeting so the board can consider a longer term arrangement.

Dr. Coker and board members discussed logistics for attendance at the May 30 meeting and asked Frontier to have a representative available in person or online. No formal action or vote on a contract extension took place at the May 15 meeting; the extension will be considered at the May 30 budget meeting.
