Commissioners approve temporary contract with interscholastic cycling league

Event manager Scott Carter and an organizer said the event will be the league’s fifth year using county property and expects about 800 competitors and roughly 2,500 to 3,000 attendees including parents and teams. The organizers said the races will use private property (the McNabb property) and trail areas; they said the event has worked well in prior years.
A commissioner moved to approve the contract; the board voted “aye,” and the motion passed. Commissioners wished the organizers “have a good event.”
