The Derby City Council adopted an ordinance amending the city’s zoning and subdivision regulations by a 7-0 vote on May 13, finalizing 14 changes first presented at the April 22 meeting.
City staff said there were no substantive changes between first and second readings; only minor numbering and lettering corrections were made. Staff and planners noted a separate follow-up discussion on window sign regulations will proceed later in the year.
Council member Molt moved to adopt the ordinance amending the zoning regulations and an accompanying ordinance amending subdivision regulations as presented; the motion carried unanimously. Staff said the amendments address a package of technical and policy adjustments; a detailed list is in the council packet and staff indicated they would return later with potential sign-code language after internal and stakeholder review.
