Carroll County commissioners on May 12 approved a revised supplemental county budget, accepted a low bid for a wheelchair-accessible van and approved routine minutes, payroll and vendor checks during a regularly scheduled meeting.
The commission approved a revised supplemental budget with a new total of $7,132,697 after staff described a series of line-item adjustments, including water-system work, facility flooring and payroll corrections. The vote passed on a motion and voice vote.
The commission accepted a bid from MobilityWorks for a wheelchair-accessible van priced at $88,800.40; staff recommended MobilityWorks because it was the only bidder offering an all-wheel-drive vehicle. Commissioners voted to approve the purchase by voice vote. A separate bid-opening for a laundry-facility construction contract was held but commissioners postponed awarding that contract pending further review by staff and the county architect.
Routine business approved by voice votes included approval of the April 28 meeting minutes, three vendor checks (numbers 2758–2760) totaling $5,728, authorization to sign the checks by the treasurer, and the manifest accounts payable for May 9 of $174,643.20 and payroll for May 9 of $239,730.66.
Near the end of the meeting the commission moved into nonpublic session under RSA 91-A:3 II(l) for legal advice and security-related discussion; the motion was seconded and carried on a roll call. The commission returned to public session and continued with public comment and closing business.
