A staff member noted a statutory constraint on one item: “The manufacturer tag fee, that has to stay the same. We can't charge more than the state charges for that.” Commissioners also asked that Table 15-5 be corrected so the adjusted prices clearly apply to all districts, not only RC-2 and downtown, and that formatting/alignment issues be fixed before an ordinance draft is prepared.
The commission clarified that the change to the manufactured-tag line should reflect the state limit and that the clerk/secretary would prepare a proposed ordinance for the council. After brief discussion and a technical correction to the printed schedule, the commission approved forwarding the fee schedule with a recommendation for council adoption. The roll call recorded unanimous approval from the commissioners present.
The commission also noted other minor edits — primarily formatting and the correct placement of district labels on Table 15-5 — and asked staff to ensure the printed draft aligns correctly with the intended fee assignments before it goes to the town council.
