The City of Keene Planning and Zoning Commission voted to recommend that the city council appoint Jimmy Alcala to fill a vacancy on the Planning and Zoning Commission for a two-year term that would end in March 2027.
Commissioner Caleb Bull moved to forward the recommendation; the motion was seconded by Gilbert Perez and passed by voice vote. City staff noted Alcala was not present due to a sick family member and summarized his background in church boards, a homeowners association presidency and leadership in a senior men’s golf club.
The commission also approved minutes from its March 10 meeting (the record shows there was no meeting in April). The motion to approve the minutes was made and seconded; commissioners indicated support and the motion passed.
No executive session was held and no additional future-agenda items were scheduled beyond staff’s note that the city is pursuing a grant to update the comprehensive plan and that future town-hall meetings will be scheduled if and when grant funding is secured.
