The Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors on May 20 presented Mississippi Association of Supervisors County Employees Scholarships to two graduating high-school seniors.
County Administrator Carpenter introduced recipients and the board presented certificates and $500 checks to Emma Hosper and Paradis Lawrence. The certificates included signatures from the Mississippi Association of Supervisors executive director, Derek Sarette, and the president of the Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors, Marvell Howard, according to the board’s prepared text.
Paradis Lawrence’s materials included a thank-you card noting she will attend Mississippi State University.
