Commission staff also said councilmember Barb Borwick (noted in member updates) had expressed interest in serving as an ex officio commission member; staff will verify appointment rules and follow the formal reauthorization path through City Council.
Communications and outreach: Staff reported progress updating member bios on the commission website and planned outreach materials for the neighborhood-of-focus program, including an informational flyer that will be refined before wide distribution. Members discussed pausing broad outreach in some neighborhoods until the commission meets directly with certain council offices and neighborhood contacts.
