The Ocala Brownfields/CRA advisory committee re-elected its current officers in a brief voice vote at the start of the meeting. A committee member moved that “the officers remain the same,” the motion was seconded and the chair called for a voice vote. The chair said the motion carries after no opposition was voiced.
The committee did not record a roll-call tally for the vote. Staff confirmed the presence and absences during roll call earlier in the meeting (Caroline Adams and Miss Hunt were absent; several members including Miss Brooks, Miss Waters, Miss Reid and Mr. Fritz were present), and the chair declared a quorum. Committee staff later said there are three vacant committee positions and encouraged recommendations from the public. The committee set its next tentative meeting for July 17, 2025.
No amendments or further actions were taken on the officer question at this meeting.
