The Village of Villa Park officially installed its newly elected officials at the May 12 Board of Trustees meeting. Kevin Patrick was sworn in as village president; Tina Constatos, Deepashreeya Kumar and Jack Cozart took oaths as trustees; and Ralph Leconte was sworn in as village clerk.
"I am deeply committed to Villa Park," President Kevin Patrick said after taking the oath, thanking family members who attended and referencing personal ties to the community.
Outgoing trustees and staff were recognized before the swearing-in. The board presented plaques of appreciation to outgoing Trustee Jack Corkery, who said, "It was an honor serving on the board," and to outgoing Village Clerk Hosanna Kornicki, who was acknowledged for 18 years of service.
Village Manager Matt Harline introduced the presentations and noted staff would continue to support the new board. After the oaths, several new and returning trustees offered brief remarks emphasizing communication, continuity and their intention to work with village staff to advance the village’s comprehensive plan.
The ceremony included the formal oath language administered by the clerk and brief congratulatory remarks; no separate board action was required to seat the elected officials beyond administering the oaths.
