Board passes consent calendar items and proclaims May 14, 2025, Facilities Management Day

At its May 14 meeting the Marion County Board of Commissioners approved the consent calendar and several administrative items by voice vote.
Items approved on the consent calendar included: an order authorizing the vice chair to sign a termination agreement for acquisition of property at 202030 Seventh Avenue NE, Salem (property identifier and details in county records); Health and Human Services amendment No. 11 to an incoming funds agreement with the Oregon Health Authority adding $200,000 for MHS-04 aid-and-assist client services (bringing a reported contract total to $23,800,704.27 through 06/30/2025); forwarding elected officials compensation recommendations to the 2025–26 Marion County budget committee; receipt of a hearings officer decision approving conditional use Case No. 24-043MK1ConstructionLLC; and a resolution to initiate consideration of amendments clarifying applicability of Marion County code provisions relating to battery energy storage systems and directing the planning director to schedule a public hearing.
The board also approved amendment No. 6 to the Sheriff’s Office contract with Trinity Services Group Inc. to add (as recorded in the transcript) $261,019 and $28.08 cents for a new contract total of $8,228,205.58 to continue food services at the Marion County Jail and Stabilization Center through 06/30/2026. The tax office orders approved refunds for the following accounts: Heron Crossing LLC (acct. 327912) for $43,027.77; Heron Crossing LLC (acct. 327913) for $33,132.28; and OGSC Macy's LLC (acct. 589030) for $29,953.29.
The board also approved a proclamation designating May 14, 2025, as Facilities Management Day in Marion County and recognized facilities management staff; the proclamation language was read into the record and the board voted to adopt it. The proclamation and consent calendar items passed by voice vote.
