Bountiful City Council on May 13 approved an interlocal agreement with Davis County for county-run election services during 2025.
Gary Hill, a city staff member presenting the item, said the agreement is similar to past interlocal contracts with Davis County and that the cost will depend on whether a primary election is required. Hill told the council the city budgeted approximately $80,000 for election services for 2025; the county’s per-election charge is expected to be roughly $35,000 to $40,000. Hill said the city will incur a few additional minimal election-related expenses — most notably staff time from the city recorder — estimated at about $3,000.
The council moved and seconded approval of resolution 2025-04, the interlocal agreement with Davis County for the 2025 election cycle, and the motion passed unanimously.
