City staff said the work is primarily focused on finance modules and related procurement functionality; limited human‑resources module work was described as possible but not primary. Staff told the committee the modernization is intended to reengineer business processes across the enterprise and integrate budgeting and procurement workflows into the new SAP environment.
No formal committee vote was taken during the presentation; staff took questions about scope, module coverage and timeline.
