Fountain Hills council approves RFP for town legal services

Fountain Hills — The Fountain Hills Town Council voted 6-0 on a motion to approve a request for proposals for town legal services and directed staff to proceed with the solicitation as drafted during a brief special meeting.

Council members said the council had reviewed multiple drafts of the solicitation and that a final version was before them. Staff member David Trimble and Rob Durham were thanked by council members for preparing the document. The town clerk confirmed there were no public comment cards on the item.

The council moved to "approve the request for proposal RFP for town legal services in this current form and direct staff to proceed in accordance with the procedures outlined in the solicitation document." The motion was seconded, and the council took a roll-call vote. Council member Skillecorn, Council member Watts, Council member Earl, Council member Kalavianakis, Vice Mayor Lan Urbie and Mayor Bridal voted yes; two council members were recorded as absent. The clerk announced the result as "Mayor, 6 0."

There was no substantive debate recorded after staff presentations. David Trimble responded to the council’s call for questions by saying he had nothing further to add and that the draft was "good to go." No amendments or changes to the solicitation were made at the meeting.

Following the vote, the council moved to adjourn.
