Resolution CR51 — wastewater aeration diffuser replacement: The council approved addendum No. 1 to the trade‑contractor agreement with Moltz Construction Inc. to replace aeration diffusers in the third basin at the wastewater treatment plant. Public Works Director Sarah Borgers told council the addendum is for $4,506 and can be funded from the rehab capital improvement budget for the wastewater plant. Council approved the motion and the resolution passed unanimously.
Consent agenda: Council moved and seconded approval of the consent agenda; the clerk opened and closed the vote and the motion passed unanimously.
Marijuana licensing authority — Fresh Organic LLC notice of hearing: The Marijuana Licensing Authority considered the annual renewal application from Fresh Organic LLC (medical and retail) for premises formerly at 11450 Cherokee Street, Units A4–A7. City staff advised the renewal could not be processed administratively because the licensee no longer holds legal possession of the licensed premises; the council (sitting as the licensing authority) voted to issue a notice of hearing setting a June 9, 2025, hearing at 6 p.m. The motion to issue the notice passed unanimously.
Vote roster: Mayor Meredith Leidy, Mayor Pro Tem (as called in roll), Council members Burns, Jaramillo, Kondo, Roper and Gough were recorded present and voted in favor. Council members Nowicki and Walker were absent for roll call.
