Bethel Park council approves consent agenda, traffic ordinances, contracts and appointments; IT contract passes with one abstention

Bethel Park Borough Council on May 12 approved multiple routine and discretionary items spanning consent-agenda bills, traffic ordinances, capital pay applications and appointments. Key actions included approvals on road and signal work, public-works pay applications related to storm sewer repairs, appointment of advisory board members, and selection of an IT managed-service-provider.

Consent agenda The council approved the consent agenda, which included bills and payroll, minutes, Bethel Park Elementary School Development bond reduction request No. 1, Bethel Trails residential development bond reduction request No. 1, the 2025 road paving project and the Route 88 and Milford signal upgrades pay application No. 1. The consent agenda passed on a roll call vote of 8 to 0.

Appointments The council appointed Lindsay Bordko to the Shade Tree Commission with a term expiring Dec. 31, 2030 (motion by Council member Michael Consulmagno; roll call 8–0). The council also appointed Jennifer Mills to the Parks and Recreation Board with a term expiring Dec. 31, 2028 (motion by Consulmagno; roll call 8–0).
