District human-resources staff reviewed resignations, leaves, hires and a platform change to streamline hiring and absence management.
Doctor Bosman presented the personnel listing and highlighted that the district migrated hiring to the Red Rover platform in early February and plans to expand Red Rover usage to absence management starting July 1. Doctor Bosman said the hiring platform rollout "has gone very well."
Why it matters: the personnel docket for the coming year contains multiple routine items that will be placed on the board's consent agenda, including resignations, retirements, leaves and recommended hires for summer crews, extended-school-year staff and campus programs. Staff read several personnel items into the record, including resignations and approved leaves for the 2025–26 school year, pending completion of pre-employment materials for some hires.
Items read into the transcript included (selection): - Resignations/retirements: listed employees and effective dates (transcript provides multiple names and positions; see personnel docket on the public agenda for full list). - Leaves: childbearing/child-rearing leaves and workers’ compensation leaves requested for 2025–26 by several instructors and counselors. - New hires/ratifications: summer maintenance crew, summer camp staff and long-term substitutes listed with hourly/salary figures in the personnel packet; extended school-year staff list also noted for approval.
Board members asked about assistant/Paraprofessional staffing, particularly in special education. Doctor Bosman said the district has filled most positions, has one remaining vacancy and will continue recruitment over the summer. No final personnel votes were taken at the May 12 work session; staff asked the board to place the personnel docket on next week’s agenda for formal action.
