The Nassau County Board of County Commissioners approved two finance-package items during the meeting that implement transfers and budget adjustments discussed during the county's March strategic planning session and April workshop.
Tab N (Finance Package 2025-19) was approved by voice vote; Tab O (Finance Package 2025-18) was the companion item and staff said it completes the financial adjustments recommended during earlier workshops. Staff listed several specific allocations in Tab O: funding to advance the Westside government campus, drainage projects (including a $750,000 allocation for County Road 121 improvements), and approximately $630,000 allocated so the Supervisor of Elections can update election software in advance of the next election.
Staff described the packages as transfers and budget adjustments that allow cash carry-forward allocations and previously discussed projects to proceed. Tab O was motioned and approved by roll call 5-0 after staff presentation.
Commissioners asked no substantive follow-up questions during the public hearing on Tab O; the Supervisor of Elections was mentioned as the likely recipient of the election software allocation. The financial packages authorize staff to proceed with allocations and related actions; specific procurement or project-authorizing votes will be brought to the board as needed for individual projects.
