Commissioner McCullough moved approval of the application submission; Commissioner Farmer seconded. The board recorded a unanimous 5-0 vote to authorize submitting the application.
Staff said the county has applied for multiple grants needing a 25% local match and that prior successful grant applications support the submission. The item authorizes staff to submit the application; it does not commit the local matching funds until a grant is awarded and associated budget actions are completed.
Follow-up actions include finalizing the application materials and, if awarded, returning to the board for approval of the required local match and any contract or purchase authorizations.
