At a meeting of the Greene County County Services committee, staff reported that the county's home-delivered meals program has seen recipients fall from the mid-400s last year to about 115 following eligibility reviews and a mid-quarter reassessment process.
"We started back last year. We were in the 4 hundreds ... we are now, in the lower county for about a hundred and 15 people that are on home delivered bill," said Amanda, a meals-program staff member, describing the change in caseload. She told the committee volunteers and family members raised complaints after removals and that volunteers are wary of handling protected information during assessments.
