Staff also described pending language that may allow the board to adopt the AMFTRB national MFT clinical exam by regulation in the future, and other clarifications to temporary-practice and teleconferencing sunset language.
The board moved to support the author’s amendments extending the sunset date, requested that staff work with the Business and Professions Committee to ensure consistent naming and citation of the LMFT Practice Act, and approved the board-sponsored technical amendments already incorporated into the bill. The motion passed by roll call vote.
