The Arlington County Board took two recorded formal votes at its May 10 regular meeting.

1) Consent agenda — passed, 5‑0
The board voted 5‑0 to adopt the county manager’s recommendations for a 42‑item consent agenda. The items were considered noncontroversial and included use permit renewals, ordinance amendments and contract awards. Notable consent highlights called out by staff included:
- Use permit renewal for an outdoor recreation facility (Crystal Plaza 5 volleyball/pickleball courts) until site construction commences.
- Award of the Army Navy Drive protected bike lane construction contract from Memorial Drive to S. Joyce Street (included sidewalks, bus islands and new street lights).
- Traffic signal upgrades and ADA improvements at S. Garland Springs Road and Fifth Street S./Fifth Road S.

- Memorandum of understanding with George Mason University for a housing needs analysis to inform the county’s consolidated plan and five‑year housing review.
- Appropriation of $5,000,000 from the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission commuter‑choice funds for 24 months of service enhancements on Metrobus route 16M (six‑minute headways during peak periods beginning June 29, 2025).
- Child care capacity building and quality improvement awards totaling approximately $565,000 to 18 providers.

2) Clarendon Square (3033 Wilson Boulevard) — passed, 5‑0
