The planning board on May 5 continued the public hearing for Alexander Wright’s 23 Houston Road solar-panel installation project while the applicant and town staff work to resolve a notice of violation for tree and shrub removal and to confirm payment for a mitigation plan prepared by Hudsonia.
Planning staff reported a mitigation plan had been submitted and that discussions are underway between the applicant, the applicant’s consultants, Hudsonia (the ecological consultant), and the zoning administrator. The zoning administrator must lift the notice of violation after accepting the mitigation plan and confirming payment for consultant work.
Board members and staff agreed to re-calendar the hearing for May 19 to allow the final pieces — specifically Hudsonia’s invoice payment and any remaining plan acceptance by the zoning administrator — to be addressed. “We are very close to wrapping everything up so that Hudsonia gets paid,” staff said during the meeting, and requested the applicant appear in two weeks if the outstanding items are not complete.
The board closed public comment for the night and scheduled the continued hearing for May 19; no final determination was made.
