Council confirms Steve Gallegos as Utilities director

Geisel noted Gallegos’ practical experience with the city’s water and sewer system and capital project management, and said Gallegos holds a degree in civil engineering. Gallegos was present and the council voted to confirm his appointment by resolution; no public speakers registered on the item.
Councilors approved R49 by roll-call vote as read by the clerk; the item will allow Gallegos to continue in the director role following his period as acting director.
