City to solicit bids for Power Road realignment; project estimated at up to $8.8 million

Cost and timeline: staff estimated construction costs “not to exceed roughly $8,800,000,” to be paid from the capital improvement fund, and said crews aim to complete the project by the end of the year.
Next steps: staff asked council to place the solicitation ordinance on the next regular meeting agenda to permit advertising and bidding. Council directed staff to include the item on the Thursday agenda for formal consideration.
